Where Keizu's data comes from

Official registers only

Keizu connects to official company registers and similar public data sources - the same registers a compliance analyst could look up by hand, one company at a time. Each connector is built against that register's own published data and, where one exists, its own API. Keizu does not scrape data a register hasn't itself made available, and does not buy or blend in third-party data broker records to fill gaps.

A register's licence terms decide what Keizu can do with its data

Registers differ in what they permit. Some explicitly license commercial reuse - the UK's Companies House data, for instance, is published under the Open Government Licence; France's SIRENE register under Licence Ouverte/Etalab. Others are more restrictive or currently unclear, and Keizu keeps those in a free-browse-only tier rather than assuming a permissive reading. Read-only, always

Keizu never writes to a register. It reads what a register has already published, resolves it, and displays it - the underlying filing a register holds is unaffected by anything Keizu does. If a register's own record is wrong, correcting it means contacting that register directly, not Keizu; Keizu's suppression process controls what Keizu itself displays, not the source filing.

No document resale

Keizu does not store or sell copies of the underlying registry documents (filings, certificates, extracts). What it publishes is the resolved, structured result of reading them - company and ownership facts, not the original documents themselves.

Not every register reaches beneficial ownership

A company register and a beneficial-ownership register are often two different things, run under different access rules, even within the same country. Keizu is explicit, register by register, about which kind of data a given connector actually reaches - company particulars and legal shareholders of record are not the same claim as confirmed beneficial ownership, and Coverage states the difference per register rather than implying uniform depth everywhere.
